To preserve the characteristics of the blades and the beauty of the handle over time, Bugatti recommends: hand wash the knives with liquid or cream detergent, avoid detergents with alcaline, alcohol, parfume, powdered and wire brushes.
The reasons we do not recommend washing knives in the dishwasher:
a) Dishwashing detergents contain aggressive chemicals that can affect steel of the blades
b) high temperatures above 130°F can cause premature wearing down of plastic materials
c) at the end of the cycle the knives remain in a humid conditions for too long and the blades could show corrosion spots.
